I dont usually do product reviews, but this app is an exception as it is a great product and any questions about the product is dealt with very promptly by the developer in a professional manner no matter how trivial the question may be . Dont hesitate to buy the full version.

PCalc is the most powerful, most flexible and strangely, most entertaining calculator for iOS. If you don’t have it, you need to buy it right now. Trust me. It’s worth every penny and then some. And if you’ve got a Mac, go to the Mac App Store and buy PCalc for OS X. It’s equally amazing.

Pcalc is easily the best calculator Ive ever used. It is extremely functional, with far more functionality than I will ever need to use. I wish I had it when I was in school! The custom layout option is great, as Ive been able to create one with custom buttons and formulas to use exclusively at work, so that I dont have to take the time to generate a spreadsheet. On top of that, the developer is super responsive by email and Twitter, in case you ever need some help. Overall, this is one of the best app experiences Ive had on iPhone or iPad, and I can only assume that the Apple TV version is just as excellent. Easiest 5 star rating ever!

The new icon is super ugly.

I regret that I have but 5 stars to give. PCalc has been a part of my life for over 20 years. A constant companion, a confidante, a comfort. Since the Mac Classic II shareware days. Do not shame yourself, your ancestors, and your dog by wasting time on the free, yellowy-orange version of this app — the new, blue 42 is the one for the truly discerning iOS dock. (But please, James: its "metre", not "meter". ;)

There are so many fantastic details and thoughtful touches that have gone into this calculator app, including open-parentheses count, editable layouts, and collapsible Today extension. I use it pretty much every day—worth every penny. Updated review for the latest version: the icon is fine. If youre giving this app one star because you dont like it, well, we cant be friends.

The old icon was way better, IMO, but I’m leaving a 5 star review *just* to help counteract the ridiculous 1 stars for an icon change. It’s also a fantastic app.

If you like RPN this is the one for you. Great customizability as well!

If you think $10 is expensive for a calculator on iOS, rest assured that PCalc is a great value. The calculator itself is highly functional and super customizable. One of the best things, however, is the developer behind this app, James Thomson. This man never stops - with every update to iOS, he always has updates to incorporate new iOS or iPhone features on day 1. And he doesnt even charge for updates. The man has been developing versions of this app for many years and wont likely stop soon - so youll definitely get your moneys worth if you invest in this app because youll still be using it years from now. The one thing that I would like at some point, however, is the ability to enter full equations like you can on a modern graphic calculator, but alas, PCalc isnt that kind of calculator. For what it is, though, it is great.

Love it, if even just for the widget, I have to add up costs of service jobs with tax several times a day and I dont have to unlock scroll and tap to get to it, just great for me! Thanks.

as par my knowledge, it should be a best scientific calc. but there is only a bug, the horizontal "engineering mode" has failure. hope the developer to respond and fix it.

I can say its great calculator with a lot of options and features. But this isnt everything. I can personalize it to my style and its amazing. There are a lot of PCalc users, but I have my own. Buy it, if you want to be original.

Its simplistic beauty, the message it conveys, and how it inspires to do better, make for a harmonious continuity which compels me to try more in life. It really is a great icon. Oh, the apps not half bad either. ;-)

Lots of functions easy to use. Good for programmers, engineers etc.

I like the changeable layouts and all the immense customization options provided. There is only one thing Ive missed so far: graphical ("natural") expression input with variable substitution. Like its done in scientific calculators (e. g. Casio fx-991ES).

Not cheap but absolutely worth the money, highly recommended.
